COUNTERTOPS
Dekton
Dekton is a relatively new material on the market, but it is gaining popularity fast. So far, only the most up to date and fashion forward installers and suppliers offer dekton as a countertop material. However, the versatility of this material makes it useful for many other things including flooring, bathrooms, siding and facades. Dekton is a manmade material created by sinterizing, meaning compacting, quartz, glass and porcelain under extremely high temperatures. The end product is a highly durable, yet sophisticated material that has both practical and aesthetic appeal.
Appearance
Dekton has a very uniform appearance and is offered in neutral and monochrome colour palettes. Some collections feature textured patterns mimicking natural stone in various shades. The usual finish for dekton is matte, meaning it has a non-reflective surface and a natural texture similar to a leather finish. Being resistant to UV rays, dekton has excellent colour stability.

Maintenance
Unlike natural stone, dekton is very low maintenance. It does not stain, easily chip or crack, nor does it get damaged from heat. Spills and chemicals can be wiped away without leaving a trace and dekton does not require regular maintenance like sealing. Outdoors, dekton holds up just as well. With UV resistance dekton’s surface will not fade or change like quartz’s would if it was constantly in the sun.
Installation
Due to its production process dekton has great advantages during installation. Since dekton slabs are sold in large pieces installation can be done in one piece cuts, without joints, creating a more sleek and uninterrupted appearance. However, it must be professionally installed.
Not many suppliers and installers have this unique material in store. Our team specializes in dekton countertop installation, from precision in measuring to a seamless set up.

Appearance & Design Consistency
Dekton offers a highly consistent and uniform appearance, making it well-suited for modern, minimalist, and large-format designs. Available in neutral, monochrome, and stone-inspired palettes, it provides predictable colour and pattern from slab to slab — an advantage over natural stone, which can vary significantly in veining and tone.
Durability, Heat & UV Resistance
Dekton is an ultra-compact surface engineered under extreme heat and pressure, resulting in exceptional durability. It is highly resistant to heat, scratching, and UV exposure, allowing hot cookware to be placed directly on the surface without damage. Unlike quartz or many natural stones, Dekton will not fade or discolour when exposed to sunlight, making it ideal for both indoor and outdoor applications.
Maintenance & Stain Resistance
Dekton is non-porous and requires no sealing, unlike many natural stone surfaces. It resists staining, does not absorb liquids, and is easy to clean using mild soap and water. With no ongoing treatments or special care required, Dekton offers a low-maintenance solution for busy households and commercial spaces.
