A soft sponge or cloth used with warm water or specially bought granite cleaner is the best way to clean the surface, wiping away spills as soon as possible. Acidic liquids like vinegar, lemon juice, bleach, ammonia products should not be used. Cutting boards should be used when cutting to prevent breaking the sealer and although granite can handle heat, it is best to avoid direct contact with heat and use heat pads or trivets to maintain shine.

Granite countertop installation requires making precise measurements and removing the sink, plumbing and backsplash.
